Institutions of higher education operate in an increasingly competitive international arena. In 2005 the University of Leeds unveiled a new and challenging strategy for growth and development. Recognising that they needed highly effective, strategically robust and differentiated communications, they appointed Appetite to develop a new visual identity and visual management system. We developed a new communications platform and visual style, which we continue to implement throughout the university. One of the key benefits of this programme has been a unified identity which allows for the strengths of individual departments and colleges to be expressed in a distinctive manner.
